PROCESS RELATED PROJECTS
Of the various projects designed and commissioned, the following were related to the process and involved Basic System Configuration and psychometrics:

- Pharma, for the lab requiring US FDA approval. |

- Seed manuf. and R&D facilities required varying temperature and RH controls with a variation & tolerance of 0.5 deg C & 3% RH in labs, growth chambers and testing areas. |

- Optical manuf. machines requires very high level of filtration, upto 0.03 microns of particulate size with an efficiency of 99.97%, despite dust generation at high speed Glass lathes operating at elevated temperatures of 300 deg C. Also the fiber drawing process involved quenching with a fine temperature control to achieve a temperature gradient below 0.5 deg C/hour and 0.2 deg C/m. |

- Hydrogen Chilling plant to remove the condensate before the gas was used for combustion in the Carbide tipping process for the cutting tool. Lowering the gas below its' dew point without excessive pre cooling to avoid higher fuel consumption required for combustion. |
- Petrofils Co-Operative Ltd., Valia

- Poly-Oriented-Yarn, Linearly-Oriented-Yarn and Nylon manufacturing process involved Spinning, Drawing and Quenching with associated sub systems. The Draw Tower and Quenching processes requires the use of psychometric and fundamental air conditioning design inputs to meet the process requirement of passing a designed air quantity of air at pre determined varying temperatures at various locations with fixed velocities, despite the varying drawing speeds for various darnier thickness'. |
- Cadburys' India Ltd., Induri

- High speed drying, removal of moisture upto about 12% to 16 % of water content by weight from moulding drum by an envelope of dry air, containing less than 8 grams of water per kg. of dry air. Barring a few applications, the temperature and RH levels were designed and not provided by the process. |

- Clean Rooms and laboratories with precise temperature and RH indication. |
- Few other special applications like the Paint Booths and assembly lines at TELCO's car project. Bajaj Auto Ltd's new Motor Cycle Plant at Chakan where Spot Cooling is provided, Air Conditioning for Spark Erosion machines, High acoustic levels at the Auditorium at IUCAA's campus. South Asia Tyres' (CEAT Ltd.) radial tyre facility at Waluj required a low RH area to maintain 35% RH with a + 4% variation.
